Interesting combo of news, but I’m not sure the Capital Group increase really means they are “buying up” Strive in some sneaky way. A bigger stake can just be portfolio rebalancing or a normal investment move, not an indirect takeover thing. People online often see one share increase and suddenly its a master plan lol.

The Poolin part is more worrying to me tho. Selling 52 million in assets sounds like a massive amount, but we dont know what assets they sold, who bought them, or if the money is for debt, operations, or just trying to stay alive. Calling it the “debt ending” of an old mining giant sounds dramatic, maybe it is, but the summary doesnt give enough numbers about Poolins total debt or remaining machines.

Also these two stories dont neccesarilly connect just because they are in the same article. Traditional funds getting exposure to mining companies is one thing, and a mining firm selling assets is another thing entirely. Bitcoin mining is so capital heavy that even companies with loads of machines can get squeezed when power prices rise or the bitcoin reward gets cut. I think the halving was involved somewhere too, although I’m not an expert and might be mixing up the dates.

Would be nice to see more detail on how much of Strive Capital Group now owns, and whether they have any voting power. Without that, “increased participation” sounds a bit vague. Same with Poolin, 52 million sounds big but context is everything. A garage can sell for 52 million if its in the right city, doesnt mean the owner is rich haha. The market will probably focus on whether these moves show confidence in Bitcoin infrastructure or just companies moving chairs around before the music stops.
