DMG Blockchain Solutions Receives SOC 2 Certification for Highest Security Standards
According to a report by Coin Kurier, DMG Blockchain Solutions Inc. (TSX-V: DMGI) has successfully completed the System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 1 certification for its subsidiary, the Alberta-based Systematix Trust Company ("STC"). This certification confirms that STC meets the highest security standards and provides independent validation of the company's systems.
The audit was conducted by a licensed CPA firm from New York City and ensures that the design of the systems meets the relevant trust principles. A follow-up audit for SOC 2 Type 2 attestation is planned for 2025.
Bitcoin ATMs: Fraud Cases Rise by 1,000 Percent
According to a report by wallstreet:online, fraud cases involving Bitcoin ATMs have skyrocketed by an astonishing 1,000 percent since 2020, as reported by Blockchain-Hero. These ATMs are increasingly becoming targets for hackers and criminals.
Timothy Bates, a professor of cybersecurity at the University of Michigan, explained to CNBC that these devices are particularly vulnerable to both physical and cyber-based threats. Hackers could install malware or manipulate transactions.
Co-Pierre Georg Takes Over Leadership of Frankfurt School Blockchain Center
According to IT Finanzmagazin, Co-Pierre Georg has been appointed as the new Professor for "Practice in Digital Finance and Technology" at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and also takes over the leadership of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center (FSBC). He has been a member of the Finance Department at the Business School since September 1.
Previously, Georg was an Associate Professor of Finance at the EDHEC Business School in France and earned his Ph.D. from the University of Jena in 2011. He brings extensive research experience, including work at the Deutsche Bundesbank's Research Centre and visits to renowned institutions such as HEC Paris, EPFL, MIT, Columbia, Oxford, and Princeton.
